11월, 계절은 절정에 이르고 공기는 익어가며 시간은 조금 더 천천히 흐른다. 이 느린 흐름 속에서 우리는 서로의 감각을 건네고 사유의 조각을 맞대며 예술의 또 다른 풍경을 마주한다. ‘감각의 풍경‘은 갤러리 이트리움의 개관을 알리는 첫 전시이자 공간 · 사람 · 예술이 유기적으로 이어지는 새로운 감각의 실험이다. 이번 전시는 미국과 일본의 현대미술 작가들이 모여 각자의 내면에 자라난 생각의 결을 펼쳐 보이며, 그 차이와 공명을 통해 하나의 감각적 지형’ 그려낸다. 이 전시에서 작품은 벽에 걸린 이미지가 아니라 공간을 매개로 확장되는 경험의 언어가 된다. 조명과 소리, 그리고 여백까지 모든 요소가 예술의 일부로 작동하며 관람자는 그 풍경 안을 천천히 걸어 들어가듯 감각의 흐름을 따라간다. 작가들은 회화와 설치로 서로 다른 매체를 통해 자신만의 내면 풍경을 펼쳐낸다. 그들의 시선은 일상의 틈새에서 존재의 흔적을 발견하고, 기억의 층위 속에서 감정의 파편을 길어 올린다. 그곳에서 예술은 설명되지 않고, 오직 느껴지는 것으로 존재한다. 감각의 풍경은 완성된 이야기의 종착점이 아니라 각자의 감각이 교차하며 만들어내는 열린 공간이다. 여기서 예술은 관람자의 시선 속에서 다시 태어나고 사유는 감각으로 감각은 다시 또 다른 사유로 확장된다. 이 전시를 통해 묻는다. 예술은 어디에 머무는가. 작품 그 자체인가 아니면 작품을 설치한 공간인가, 혹은 그 사이의 우리 자신인가. 이 공간에서 우리는 자신만의 감각의 풍경을 발견할 수 있다. 그 순간 예술은 비로소 살아 있는 경험이 될 것이다.
In November, the season reaches its peak, the air ripens, and time flows a little more slowly. In this slow flow, we share our senses, shards of thought collide, and encounter a different landscape of art. "Landscape of the Senses" is the inaugural exhibition of Gallery Itrium and an experiment in new senses, organically connecting space, people, and art. This exhibition brings together contemporary artists from the United States and Japan, unfolding the strands of thought that have nurtured within each artist, and through their differences and resonances, they create a "sensory landscape." In this exhibition, the works are not images hung on a wall, but rather a language of experience expanded through space. Every element, from light and sound to even the margins, functions as part of the art, and the viewer follows the flow of sensations as if slowly walking through the landscape. Through diverse media, including painting and installation, the artists unfold their own inner landscapes. Their gazes discover traces of existence in the cracks of everyday life and elicit fragments of emotion from the layers of memory. In this place, art is not explained, but exists only to be felt. The landscape of the senses is not the final destination of a completed story, but an open space created by the intersection of individual senses. Here, art is reborn within the viewer's gaze, thoughts expand into sensations, and sensations, in turn, into further thoughts. This exhibition asks: Where does art reside? Is it the work itself, the space in which it is installed, or ourselves in between? In this space, we can discover our own sensory landscapes. At that moment, art becomes a living experience.
