소중히 간직하다
과거 지나간 것의 흔적, 옛 건물, 오랜 세월을 지나온 유물들에는 혼이 담겨있다.
그런 것들은 우연히 때로는 필연적으로 우리에게 남겨지기도 한다. 이들 중 개인적인 것은 추억이라 부르며 국가나 인류의 역사적인 것들은 전통 이라고 부른다. 오래된 사진 속의 기억들 그리고 사라진 사람들에게서 남겨진 것들, 그런 것들 중 우리의 역사 속에 또는 개인적으로 기억되어야 할 소중히 간직하고 전해져야 하는 것들이 있다.
우리에게 의미 있는 장소나 물건들 그리고 나의 기억 속에 살아있는 어떤 것. 나는 이러한 우리에게 그리고 나에게 소중히 간직하고 싶은 어떤 것을 그린다.
도자회화는 오래 세월 보존된다. 따라서 간직하고 싶은 것을 그려 담기에 좋다. 나는 판화의 에칭기법을 도자회화에 접목한 세라칭CERACHING (ceramic etching) 기법으로 작업한다. 이 기법은 세밀한 장면을 묘사하는데 적합하여, 장면을 기록하기에 용이하다.
나의 작업을 통해 우리에게, 나에게 소중한 것들이 남겨지고, 사라져가는 것들이 소중히 간직되기를 바란다.

Cherish
Traces of the past, old buildings, and relics that have passed for a long time contain a soul.
Such things are left to us by chance, sometimes inevitably. Among these, the personal ones are called memories, and the historical ones of the nation or humanity are called traditions. Memories in old photographs and those left behind by those who have disappeared, among them, there are things that need to be cherished and passed down to be remembered in our history or personally.
A place or object that is meaningful to us, and something that lives in my memory. I draw something like this that I want to cherish for us and for me.
Ceramic paintings are preserved for a long time. Therefore, it is good to draw what you want to keep. I work with the CERACHING (ceramic etching) technique, which grafted the etching technique of engraving to ceramic painting. This technique is suitable for depicting detailed scenes, making it easy to record scenes.
I hope that through my work, precious things will be left behind for us and me, and things that are disappearing will be cherished.
