나의 작품은 카오스에서 빛과 더불어 세상이 열리듯 세상을 색채의 창으로 색옷들을 입히고 있다. 캔버스는 작은 도시가 되고, 우주가 되고, 이상세계의 바탕이 되어 보는 관객의 상상력에 의해 그 형체가 완성되어진다. 하나의 캔버스가 동일색이기도 하고 분리색이더라도 캔버스 속의 사각의 유니트 속에 응집된 색 메우기 작업은 순수한 색 조각(본질)의 연속이다. 나는 관객으로 하여금 순수한 색 속(본래의 것)으로 빠져들어 자신을 발견하는 자아관찰의 시간을 느끼게 하고 싶었다. 색 조각들은 캔버스 안에서 비움과 채움을 반복함으로써 현대인들이 느끼는 존재와 부재, 실체와 허상의 사유를 관조하고 진정한 마음心으로 통하는 길을 찾아나가길 바랄 뿐이다. 나의 작업은 반복된 행위를 지속적으로 하다 보면 설레임이 커져 어느 순간 심장이 온 우주를 삼키는 듯한 순간이 온다. 그 순간 아름다운 이야기가 시끌시끌 요동치며 설레임의 창으로 나의 그림은 열린다. 그리고 색의 창들은 스스로를 창조의 신 앞에 세워서 또 다른 생성의 기쁨을 선물한다. 바로 작업이 완성되는 순간이다. 나의 그림을 가까이 들여다보면 수 많은 존재들이 자기만의 색채를 찾아서 캔버스를 채우고 있다. 이는 수 많은 존재들이 세상을 살아가는 모습의 반영이기도 하다. 색 조각 하나 하나는 서로가 서로를 빛나게 하고 서로가 서로를 생성시키며 색의 순수함(하나됨)으로 빠져 들어간다. 그것을 표현하기 위해 나는 순수한 색 덩어리로 색 공간을 메워 나간다. 나의 그림에는 주름 잡힌 고요함이 있다. 가까이 가 볼수록 마음의 물결이 요동치고 선과 면들은 대상과 서로 연결되어 치열함을 나타내 준다. 그 치열함이 있어 더욱 아름답고 그 치열함은 순수로 가기 위한(하나가 되기 위한) 색들의 나툼(형상으로 드러냄)이다.

My work colors the world to a colorful window as the world unfolds with light from chaos.
Canvas becomes a smal city and the universe, and its appearance gets completed by imagination of viewers based on the ideal world.
Although a canvas can be either mono-colored or bi-colored coloring the compacted square units in canvasis continuousnes of pure color pieces.
I hoped to let viewers to get drawn into the pure colors and fel the time to observe own ego discovering oneself.
As the color pieces repeat filing and vacating in canvas I wish you calmly observe and reflect existence and absence that modern people may fel and find a path with sincere heart.
When I closely look into my paintings I se that uncountable existences are filing the canvas iluminating their own authentic colors. I think it is the reflection of how numberles individuals live in this world.
Each single piece colors brighten up each other and they create one another faling into the one purenes. I fil the color space to expres it with pure chunk of color.
There is a wrinkled silence in my paintings. Geting closer and closer to them wave in my heart trembles and lines and surfaces are conected each other to show intensivenes. Because of the intensive feling it is more beautiful and that intensivenes is Nah-toom, the projection of the astral body, to become one purenes.
