갤러리바톤의 비디오아트 프로젝트 스페이스인 옵저베이션 덱(Observation Deck, 지하 1층)에서는 2월 7일부터 3월 10일까지 장서영(Chang Seo Young, b.1983)의 '언틸 유어 네임 이즈 콜드(Util Your Name is Called)'가 상영됩니다.

영상에서 등장하는 무용수는 호명되는 순간을 기다리며 준비 상태만을 반복하는데, 이 준비 상태의 가장 피크가 되는 지점마저도 비디오 로딩 시간에 가려져 보이지 않습니다. 배경으로 보이는 무대 역시 계속 완성되지 않고 , 실제 목적을 위해 사용되지 않는 이벤트와 이벤트 사이에서 기다림으로 소비되는 시간에 대한 작업입니다.

Gallery Baton is delighted to announce Chang Seo Young's ‘Until Your Name is Called’, from 7th February until the 10th March 2018 at Observation Deck (B1), the video art project space of Gallery Baton.  The video features ballerinas practicing for a show before they are called by name to participate in the actual performance.  The culmination of their training is hidden by video loading time, and the stage set's background is also incomplete.  The work depicts the time consumed during a long wait for an event that is ultimately left unrealized in the video.
