우리는 유기체다.
우리의 총체이자 그 합인 우리의 정신도 유기체다.
우리는 모른다.
햇빛이 세포분자에서 원자의 초정밀 미세구조에 닿아
시냅스 틈새가 변하는 나노초의 일을 모른다.
우리 은하를 모르는 것은 물론 지구 지표면조차
탐사 할 수 없는 곳이라 모른다.
우리는 아직 잘 모른다.
지금은 별이라 불리지 않는 우리 행성, 지구 생태계 최고 포식자 위치에
인간 종을 놓기 위한 조상의 무지막지한 노력을 아직 잘 모른다.
권력투쟁사가 아닌,
이만큼이나 화목하게 살게 된 역사의 거대한 맥락을 아직 잘 모른다.
우리의 정신은 우리가 모르는 모든 것의 과거와 현재,
온 우주의 천지만물과 연결된 정신이다.
자연에 순응하고 극복하며 만들어낸 정신이다.
감히 인간의 피조물인 인공지능(AI) 따위가
넘볼 수 있는 정신이 아니란 말이다.
우리의 정신은 올곧이 우리 유전자·밈에만 보존되어 내려온다.
우리는 정신의 흔적인 기록을 보며 사유하여 정신을 가다듬고,
정신을 차리고, 정신을 남긴다.
나는 오늘《The Esprit》전을 열어 정신의 흔적인
인류의 모든 기록을 기념한다.

We are organism.
The Esprit, tout ensemble and total of it, so is.
We do not know that
the nanosecond, when the sunlight hits the ultrastructure of atom,
changes the synaptic cleft
let alone the galaxy,
let alone the exploration on the surface of the earth.
We do not yet see how strenuously
our ancestors strived to leave the heritage
to let the human race come to the throne of ecosystem
in this very planet, Earth.
We do not recognize
the origin of the great context that caused our living in close rapport
and prosperity, weighing up the knowledge in the chronicle of power events.
Our Esprit is not merely linked with the past and present of
the entities veiled but stretched across
beyond all the creatures and the heavenly bodies.
Conforming and equal to the nature, this Esprit has been formed.
It is not at all a human-made A.I. does dare to disrespect.
From our progenitors to us 'The Esprit' has been inherited
and preserved exclusively through our meme.
We watch and keep the record which testifies the trace of
our Esprit, contemplating, maintaining, and disciplining
what we bequeath.
And today I exhibit The 'ESPRIT'
to celebrate all the witnesses for the legacy of mankind.
