2002년부터 행위미술과 회화 설치 등을 주로 작업해 왔던 작가 박주영이 오는 1월 3일부터 1월 8일까지 평면과 드로잉 등을 3번째 개인전을 선보인다.
미대 졸업 후 그래픽을 배워 그래픽 아트 회사에 다니는 등 사회생활을 한 뒤, 자신의 존재에 대한 질문 속에서 퍼포먼스를 시작했고, 지금도 진행 중이다.
1, 2번째 전시가 사회생활을 병행하며 선보였다면 이번 3번째 전시는 한국예술인복지재단의 지원금을 받게 되어 평면을 다시 생각해보는 계기가 되어 안정된 작업과정 속에 오는 결과물이다.
특히, 즉흥 잼에 참여하여 참여무용수들의 몸의 아름다움을 색色과 선의 조형을 표현함을 즐겼고, 수채화와 아크릴물감의 선과 색의 흐름을 또한 즐겼다.

1, 2번째의 전시가 동물, 꽃, 레코드판, 소리 등 날씨와 공간과 물질에 대한 공감각적인 이미지를 주로 다뤘다면, 본 3번째 전시는 사람을 표현함으로서 인간과 자연의 공존이다.
실존을 넘어서 바람아래 서로 사랑하고 살아있으라고 말하고 싶은 작가의 변이다.

오는 1월 3일 오픈때에는 퍼포먼스와 기타 게스트의 축하 공연이 있다.
Nest NADA에서 제작한 작가의 그림이 들어간 티셔츠를 판매할 예정이다.
그리고, 2월 갈 예정인 작가가 네팔 오지학교의 미술교육에 쓰일 크레용, 물감 기증 행사도 진행할 것이다.
그것은, 네팔에 봉사하고 있는 친구와의 대화에서 시작되었다.
“여기는 종이, 색연필조차 없다. 그래도 네가 가르쳐 보는건 어떠냐?”
나는 고민할 생각없이 바로 오케이 했다.
포카라와 히말라야에 가고 싶었고 낯선 환경에서 쉬고 싶었다.
그 타이밍에 맞춰 예쁜 색으로 칠해본적이 없는 아이들과 함께 미술시간을 가져보기 위해 총 9개의 프로그램을 계획하고 있다.
기증과 수익금이 적으면 적은대로 진행한다. 자연이 재료가 될 수도 있으므로

바람이 좋다.
바람에게 위로받고도 목 놓아 우는 소리에도 메아리로 답해주며 서쪽에서 부는 바람은 늘 나에게 많은 상상과 희망을 건넨다.
바람에 의해 바람으로 스치는 모든 생명들이 더 더욱 빛을 발하며 찰랑거린다.
절망과 고통의 상흔을 안고도 리듬을 따라 유연히 몸을 흔들다가 사위를 만들어 간다.
단순함 속에 비치는 무한 색채의 흐름을 즐긴다.
바람의 색과 내 맘속 풍경이 닿아 면으로 번진다. 알록달록한 선으로 스쳐 지나가다 순간 남기는 소리

Dance of the wind
Wind is good. Wind, which answers to sound of my crying even if I was comforted by wind, and west wind always gives lots of imagination and hope to me.
All creatures which are treated and touched by wind are lapping shining more.
They shakes their bodies flexibly following rhythms despite scar of despair and pains, and make art motions.
Enjoying flow of limitless colors reflected by simplicity: wind, colors and landscape in my mind are touched against each other and then spread to surface. And they go through colorful line. At that moment, a sound left,
